I visited this temple through a Do-dham package tour by helicopter, arranged by a traveling company. From Sahastradhara Helipad ,Dehradun we flew at 7.15 AM .It took about one hour to reach Badrinath helipad. It was a breathtaking air journey and great feast to the eyes ,to watch Tehri dam below with green water in it and the range of snow-capped Himalayan peaks.
We landed at the Badrinath Helipad. Before landing, pilot showed us the Arial view of the Badrinath temple .From here we were picked up by a pre-arranged taxi and dropped near the temple ,which was less than 100 meter away. We walked on foot and after crossing Alaknanda bridge ,reached in the temple premises .Our entry was quick in the temple ,because of VIP pass .We sat inside atrium and got the Dibya-Darshan of Lord vishnu .His statue was about 1 feet ,made of black stone.
